About the Artist and Owner, Haley Moore -
I'm the artist and curator here at The Paper Wing. I've been doing freelance art work since 2009 and I've finally opened a little spot to showcase and sell the variety or works that I create.
I've always kind of considered myself a sort of dabbler or a jack of all trades when it comes to creating. The original quote was "a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one" and Shakespeare meant it as a compliment rather than a slight.
I'm also holding workshops here so that I can inspire that love of creating in others. I'm a firm believer that artists should do whatever we can to be helpful to our fellow creators. There's no reason for us not to be able to create beautiful things and be able to openly admire others' work as well.
On top of being a maker, I'm a mom to two kiddos, a wife to a lovely man that endearingly calls me "the art goblin", and I'm the oldest of 5. I own this shop along side my brother, Coby Johnson, who is a lot better with the business side of things (i.e. money), whereas I try to give things away when no one's looking.
